Why Decor Matters Scholarship
We know how expensive it can be to attend college these days. As recent post-grads / college dropouts ourselves, we feel your pain. It’s not just the astronomical tuition bill, but you also have to think about and plan for meal plans, parking passes, hopefully funding a social life, and that lovely new stack of $200 textbooks every year. Anyway, we’d like to help out if we can so we’ve created a scholarship. We’d love for you to apply.
- Amount: $1,000
- 450 words minimum
- Deadline: December 31, 2019
- Awarded: January 31, 2020
- Eligible: Any full or part-time college students enrolled during the 2019-2020 school year
To be eligible for this scholarship students must be enrolled full or part-time at an accredited university during the 2019 – 2020 school year. The selected winner of this scholarship will be contacted prior to the scholarship being awarded to provide proof of enrollment. If proof is not provided before the award date a runner-up will be selected. Any student is welcome to apply, regardless of major or focus.
To apply for this scholarship students must submit an essay no later than December 31, 2019 based on the following topic:
- Why Decor Matters. Please describe why home decor matters to you, your favorite interior decorating tips, how you think about interior design, etc. Please take the prompt and run with it! Just make sure it’s relevant to interior design.
Essays must be a minimum of 450 words and not previously published in any other form. The winning essay will be selected based on both quality of writing and overall originality. We will notify the winner via email.
By applying to this scholarship you grant Southwestern Rugs Depot the rights to edit and publish your work. Ownership of the submitted work is retained by the author.
